Val Thorens
An easy drive from to the Channel ports, just 20 miles from the lovely lakeside town of Annecy and 28 miles from Geneva, this is a mountain village retaining rustic charm, old farming chalets and French atmosphere. The surprisingly large, local ski area takes in 5 inter-linked mountains in and around La Clusaz. The Espace Aravis pass covers 220km of pistes, including Le Grand Bornand, linked by free ski bus or just a short 10 minute drive away.
